About Black Soldier Fly Farming

Black Soldier Flies are large non pesky flies. Useful because their larvae eat organic waste at a very fast rate converting it into useful products. Compost for your garden and BSF larvae for animal feed.

The process is simple. Black Soldier Flies mate, the female is attracted to a specially designed composting unit to lay her eggs, her eggs hatch 4 days later and the new born larvae immediately begin consuming organic waste. When the larvae have had enough to eat and ready to become pupae, they will climb ramps and conveniently harvest themselves into buckets for easy collection.

Blacksoldierflyfarming.com provides a platform where BSF Farmers can interact, share knowledge, give advice, ask questions, and in general help improve BSF composting.
